Diverse Workforce<br />

In 1997, <strong>PepsiCo</strong> companies started hiring deaf-mute local<br />

people who, throughout this time, have given us their enthusiasm<br />

and commitment, and have enriched our workplaces,<br />

promoting productivity and core values such as responsibility<br />

and respect.<br />

To carry out this initiative, we have developed<br />

partnerships with public and private local<br />

institutions for the recruitment assessment for<br />

the facilities adaptation, associates training<br />

and awareness programs for fellow employees.<br />

We hired sign language interpreters, and job<br />

position consultants who helped us, to design<br />

better professional growth opportunities for<br />

everyone.<br />

Currently, this program had an impact with the local communities,<br />

helping to reduce discrimination and unemployment,<br />

and giving poeple with disabilities the chance to develop a life<br />

plan.<br />
