history
Gamesa started in 1921 in Monterrey,
Nuevo León. It has been part of PepsiCo
since 1990, when it changed from being
a family business to a world-class company.
In 1998, it began operations in Central
America and the Caribbean, where it
has enjoyed prosperous growth.
In 2001, PepsiCo acquired Quaker
and, later that year, integrated under its
business structure the Quaker Foods
operation in Mexico, strengthening its
cereals product line.

distribution centers and 4,841 sales
routes. Supporting the development

we have 9 production plants
in Mexico, covering local and global
markets including the U.S. and Latin
America.

diversity, flavors and traditions of each of
the countries in which we operate. From
Mexico, at Gamesa-Quaker, we deliver to
PepsiCo the most innovative portfolio of
baked products, making them available
to consumers around the world.
At Gamesa-Quaker, our brands distinguish
themselves through their quality
and popularity, building a multi-category
product portfolio comprised of Emperador,
Marías, Crackets, Saladitas, Mamut,
Arcoiris, Florentinas, Vualá, Quaker,
3 Minute Oatmeal, Apple Oh’s, Nutri-
Flakes and Captain Crunch cereals;
Granola, Fruit and Oatmeal bars; Aunt
Jemima, Gamesa pancake mix, and
Maizoro cereals, to name just a few.
