Making Fruit<br />

Skewers<br />

In the unit “A Fruit Salad” the stud<strong>en</strong>ts learned<br />

about a variety of fruits with hands-on activities.<br />

They followed precise instructions about how to<br />

make a fruit skewer. In the <strong>en</strong>d they had the chance<br />

to show off their vocabulary naturally, in a real<br />

context. Finally, they <strong>en</strong>joyed their healthy snack.<br />

They will never forget this experi<strong>en</strong>ce.<br />

Micaela R<strong>en</strong>gifo, Bruno Becerra, Miranda Torres, Nicolás Rosales,<br />

Fernanda Castro, and Mateo Manrique <strong>en</strong>joying their fruit skewers<br />

after their hard work.<br />

Adrianno Jara and Gianella Calderón worked together to arrange<br />

the fruits for the class.<br />

Creating Riddles<br />

During the unit “Dan’s Pet”, first graders learned<br />

about pets; what they eat, how to take care of<br />

them and the amazing things they can do. They<br />

had fun making riddles and reading them aloud to<br />

the whole class.<br />

Maia Zapata and Mariano Cárd<strong>en</strong>as <strong>en</strong>joyed eating their delicious<br />

and healthy fruit snack.<br />
