The Amazing World of our<br />
Digestive System<br />
In this unit our stud<strong>en</strong>ts learned about the Digestive<br />
System. They not only discovered about human<br />
specific digestive organs that are involved in the<br />
process of digestion and how it works, but also learned<br />
about the effect that healthy food has on the<br />
human body. They <strong>en</strong>joyed this project a lot.<br />
In this experim<strong>en</strong>t, Andrés Momiy, Raphael Sheelje, Daniela Núñez,<br />
among others, are discovering if differ<strong>en</strong>t kinds of food contain<br />
starch by using iodine and observing color changes.<br />
Observing Plants<br />
3 rd Grade<br />
The second unit was very interesting because they<br />
were able to learn and do research about plants:<br />
how they grow and reproduce and what they need to<br />
grow healthy. They also learned about the differ<strong>en</strong>t<br />
plant’s def<strong>en</strong>sive mechanisms.<br />
Fabiana Jayo and Adrián Val<strong>en</strong>zuela used magnifying glasses<br />
during our practice to make observations about the def<strong>en</strong>sive<br />
mechanisms of plants.<br />
