Writing a Persuasive<br />
Letter<br />
The 4 th graders were pres<strong>en</strong>ted with<br />
the task of writing a persuasive letter to<br />
the mayor, the presid<strong>en</strong>t or a teachers<br />
asking for an issue to be changed or<br />
improved. All of the stud<strong>en</strong>ts worked<br />
hard and displayed passion and<br />
<strong>en</strong>thusiasm for issues that mattered to<br />
them. They learned the importance of<br />
writing and developing their argum<strong>en</strong>ts<br />
and, most importantly, proposed<br />
meaningful solutions that could help<br />
solve the problem being addressed.<br />
They needed to id<strong>en</strong>tify the issues<br />
and pres<strong>en</strong>t a reasonable solution in a<br />
persuasive manner.<br />
