R<strong>en</strong>aissance Artist<br />
Throughout the unit “New Ideas and New Worlds”, we explored the innovations<br />
made by Italian and Northern European R<strong>en</strong>aissance artists. The<br />
stud<strong>en</strong>ts had weeks to do research and write an essay choosing an artist<br />
that repres<strong>en</strong>ted that time. This assignm<strong>en</strong>t was a collaborative effort<br />
among differ<strong>en</strong>t English teachers.<br />

Article Writing<br />
As part of the ninth grade English test, stud<strong>en</strong>ts<br />
were asked to write an article proposing three possible<br />
changes to improve the <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t of our home<br />
town. They had to follow FCE writing guidelines, completing<br />
a text of 140 to 190 words.<br />
