NAVAL ENGINEERING SCHOOL<br />
The mission of the Canadian Forces Naval Engineering School<br />
(CFNES) is to generate trained and educated technical sailors and officers<br />
for the Canadian Navy.<br />
CFNES comprises a team of professionals drawn primarily from the<br />
naval technical occupations, together with civilian and military instructors,<br />
administrators and training developers and is divided into five<br />
training divisions. These five divisions include Combat Systems Engineering,<br />
Marine Systems Engineering, Damage Control, Engineering<br />
and Technology, and Officer Training and are responsible to administer<br />
and oversee the generation of sailors and officers for the different occupations.<br />
In addition it supports a unit headquarters, Quality Assurance<br />
section and a detachment located in St. John’s NL overseeing the Naval<br />
Technician Training Programmes (NCSTTP/ METTP).<br />
CFNES is geographically dispersed within the Formation and includes<br />
numerous buildings in Stadacona and installations in HMC<br />
Dockyard Annex and the Damage Control Division at Sandwich Point.<br />
CFNES is also responsible for several modern training facilities including<br />
the Damage Control Training Facility (DCTF), Diesel Training Facility<br />
(DTF), Combat System Training Center (CSTC) and Naval<br />
<strong>We</strong>apons Technician Training Detachment (NWTTD).<br />
CFNES is committed to identifying and meeting the education and<br />
training needs of the fleet and inspiring its personnel to reach their full<br />
potential. In this way, CFNES will maintain its proud tradition of providing<br />
qualified and competent personnel that will ensure that the Canadian<br />
Navy is able to float, move and fight.<br />
Personnel joining CFNES for employment or training are requested<br />
to report to the regulating office on the first deck of the Curry building<br />
(S-37) located in Stadacona.<br />

L’ÉCOLE DU GÉNIE NAVAL<br />
DES FORCES CANADIENNES<br />
L’École du Génie Naval des Forces Canadienne (ÉGNFC) a pour<br />
mission de produire des marins et officiers techniques qualifiés et instruits<br />
pour la Marine Canadienne.<br />
L’équipe de l’ÉGNFC est composée de professionnels provenant<br />
pour la plupart des milieux techniques navals, en particulier, instructeurs<br />
sont préposés à l’élaboration du programme d’instruction, tant<br />
civile que militaire. L’École comprend de cinq divisions de formation:<br />
Génie des Systèmes Marine, Ingénierie et Technologie, Contrôle des<br />
Avaries et Formation des Officiers. Ces divisions jouent un rôle dans<br />
l’administration et l’encadrement de la nouvelle génération de marins et<br />
d’officiers de différentes professions. Le Quartier Général de l’unité<br />
comprend un service d’assurance à la qualité et un détachement basé à<br />
St-Jean de Terre Neuve qui appuient les programmes de recrutement<br />
latéral (PFTM/PFTSCN).<br />
L’ÉGNFC occupe plusieurs immeubles à Stadacona, à l’annexe de<br />
L’Arsenal de la BFC Halifax et à la Division du Contrôle des Avaries<br />
établie à Sandwich Point. Ils sont responsables de plusieurs installations<br />
d’instruction modernes qui incluent le Centre de Contrôle des Avaries<br />
(CCA), Centre d’Entraînement Diesel (CED), Centre d’Entraînement<br />
des Systèmes de Combat (CESC) et Département D’entraînement du<br />
Technicien D’armements Navale (DETAN).<br />
L’École s’efforce de prévoir les besoins de la Flotte de manière à<br />
pourvoir les satisfaire et fait en sorte que le personnel puisse développer<br />
son plein potentiel. L’EGNFC est fière de donner la meilleure formation<br />
et le meilleur entraînement possible aux membres de la Marine Canadienne<br />
de façon à ce qu’elle puisse remplir ses missions (flotter, manœuvrer,<br />
combattre).<br />
Le personnel; qui arrive à L’ÉGNFC, soit pour y travailler ou y suivre<br />
des cours est prié de se présenter au bureau de service situé au premier<br />
étage de l’édifice Curry (S-37).<br />
