N37 ENGINEERING OPERATIONS
DCOS Engineering Operations (N37) is responsible to the Commander
MARLANT for the technical readiness of the Atlantic Fleet to
conduct maritime operations off Canada’s east coast or in areas/theatres
as tasked. It accomplishes this by working with or responding to FMF
CAPE SCOTT, DGMEPM, CMS, and other agencies to ensure most
efficient use of resources in maintaining materiel readiness of the Fleet.
In this regard, N37 plays two roles: directly supporting N3 with engineering
technical and programme advice while also acting within the
ACOS NEM framework as N4 NEM’s Programme Manager. N37’s
specific responsibilities include the following:
• Management of the Naval Engineering Maintenance
long-term programme;
• Management of the Configuration Change process;
• Formation OPI for Refits, Docking Work Periods and
other third line maintenance activities;
• Coordination of technical and material support for the
east coast fleet;
• Development and implementation of the Tired Readiness
Program (TRP); and
• Management of the Weapons System Certification (WSC)
programme and the Formation Signature Management plan
for the for the east coast Fleet.

OPÉRATIONS DE GÉNIE N37
Le SCEM Opérations de génie (N37) rend compte au commandant
des FMAR (A) de la préparation technique de la flotte de l’Atlantique à
mener des opérations au large de la côte Est du Canada ou dans les
secteurs/théâtres désignés. Pour ce faire, son organisation collabore
avec l’IMF CAPE SCOTT, la DGGPEM, l’EMFM et d’autres ministères
afin d’optimiser l’utilisation des ressources et la disponibilité des
matériels pour la Flotte. À cet égard, N37 a deux objectifs: soutien direct
à N3 par des conseils techniques et des conseils sur les programmes,
ainsi que gestion du programme de maintenance et de génie maritime de
N4, sous l’égide du CEMA GMM. N37 a les responsabilités suivantes:
• Gestion du programme à long terme de génie maritime
et de maintenance;
• Gestion du processus de modification de la configuration;
• BPR de la Formation pour les refontes, les périodes en cale
sèche et les activités de maintenance de troisième échelon;
• Coordination du soutien technique et matériel à la flotte de
la côte Est;
• Élaboration et mise en œuvre du programme de disponibilité
opérationnelle progressive (TRP);
• Gestion du programme de certification des systèmes
d’armes (WSC) et du plan de gestion de la signature de
la Formation pour la flotte de la côte Est.
