sector; to increase KSP manager Human Resources
quality.
This program is a series of activities conducted
by the Government through Productive
Resources Access Increase Development
Project originating from the State Revenue and
Budget of 2004 fund in the form of the granting
of capital strengthening aid to KSP in the pattern
of scrolling fund.
Such Save and Loan Cooperation (KSP)
Scrolling Fund Strengthening Aid which is further
referred to as Agribusiness KSP Scrolling
Fund is fund deriving from the Government
through the Ministry of Cooperation and Small
and Middle Scale Business which is distributed
to Save Loan Cooperation (KSP) in Agricultural
Sector as scrolling fund loan to further be distributed
to its members in the form of loan.
Such program was commenced in 2003 and
was continued in 2004. Considering the success
of Scrolling Fund Strengthening Aid in Agricultural
Sector in 2003 and 2004, then in 2005 the
Government extended development business
through Sectoral Scrolling Fund strengthening
aid to fund various other productive business
sectors, through fund source from State Revenue
and Budget. Therefore since 2005 such
program was known as Agribusiness/Sectoral
KSP Fund Strengthening Aid.
The implementation of such program was
described as what is illustrated in the early part
of this writing. In average cooperations receiving
the aid program were successful in distributing
credits to strengthen their capital to their
members. Cooperation performance, both in
capital return from members and cooperation
installment to the bank national wide is favorable.
Non performing credit can be considered
as below 2% as the applied limit.
Strengthening was also sought through
cooperation capacity increase programs in managing
its business. The capacity concerned is in
the field of management, reporting system, and
financial administration, and any other technical
abilities, up to entrepreneurial horizon. This matter
will in turn make cooperation the center of
business for small/micro entrepreneurs.
Experience has shown that development
will continue to members. Cooperations that have
been ordered well in various aspects naturally
will transfer their various skills and knowledge
to their members.
Well, there are many valuable lessons
during the above programs. It would be such
a waste if such momentums disappear just like
that. It is that reason, among other things, that
underlies the objective to compose this book.
Far from formal image, this book is composed
through covering process in the best cooperations
scattered all over Indonesia. Not all
of the best were covered. The composing team
divided several cooperations in 10 provices that
reflect the represented ness of Indonesian area
in western, central and eastern parts. The
method in choosing regencies and cities was
based on business types developed.
However, even though this book is far from
formal image, cooperations which success stories
are presented were chosen based on raw
characteristics. At least there are five successful
criteria that became the material of consideration,
namely: fund distribution success; fund
utilization success; fund return success; fund
business increase success; and fund business
development success;
If further this book was titled Prosperous
Community Care Cooperation, it is merely because
a message that cooperation is an asset
and at the same time a potential which, if it is
moved and developed, optimally will end up in
community welfare, is intended to be set out. Of
course, the size of welfare has its own levels.
People, in this context is represented by
members of cooperation receiving scrolling
loan, who are successful in increasing their life
standard after they have harvested the output
of Scrolling Fund Strengthening For Loan Save
Cooperaton (KPS) in Agribusiness/Sector program.
Sincerely, their smiles bloom. Behind
those smiles there is a “piece” of pride that their
struggle to become more prosperous has been
in the right lane. Behind those smiles there are
also thousands of memories about heavy
struggle. Struggle on the management of rice
field, pond, embankment, workshops, restaurants,
and etc. Among these memories there
is one that they cannot forget-even when they
inherit it to their future generation-the care of
cooperation personnel, who since the beginning
have been loyal assisting their struggle.
Through this book together they will say: Thank
you Cooperation.
