finestre: irradiandosi dall’interno, confonde le fattezze
architettoniche richiamando l’attenzione sull’interno, su
un cuore pulsante.
Come già in No frost, uno dei cardini del lavoro di Moro è
l’antinomia interno-esterno: la rivelazione del primo passa
per la negazione dell’altro, e viceversa. Di qui l’uso
ricorrente della tipologia “casa” che per antonomasia
separa la sfera privata da quella pubblica. La assume così
come è, nella sua forma paradigmatica con il tetto a
spioventi, la miniaturizza e la colloca all’interno dello
spazio. Il delitto è un’opera d’arte rivela una attenzione
particolare ai delitti commessi nelle case e ai processi
investigativi che li accompagnano, come quello di Cogne:
è una metafora della società dove la gente si comporta
“esternamente” come una famiglia da Mulino Bianco
mentre all’“interno” compie le peggiori efferatezze. Un
modo per denunciare l’ipocrisia dei comportamenti.
Nell’opera in questione, in una stanza poggia al pavimento
una casetta piccola e romantica il cui esterno è costellato
di cuoricini e fiorellini mentre dall’interno ci perviene il
racconto di un delitto attraverso effetti sonori (il battito di
una macchina da scrivere, il telefono che squilla, una
risata, passi sul pavimento,l’apertura di una porta, lo
stapparsi di una bottiglia… fino ai due colpi di fucile e al
tonfo di un corpo che cade). Mentre la stanza accanto è
dipinta di rosso sangue. Anche Dumme
Gans (letteralmente stupida oca, come
la strega si rivolge a Gretel), è una casa
dolcissima, a grandezza naturale, il cui
involucro è costruito con 9.000 biscotti
Gentilini e le cui finestre sono caramelle.
Ma l’interno è tutt’altro che dolce: 6
disegni riproducono infatti il momento in
cui Gretel spinge la strega nel forno. Anche le favole, cui
attinge spesso Moro, presentano la stessa dicotomia
buono - perverso che caratterizza i delitti. Sullo stesso
registro è pensata Quella casa del 2002, proprio la casa di
Cogne, un qualunque chalet montano che evoca calore e
tepore, ed è invece teatro del delitto efferato di una madre

question, a small and romantic house sat on the floor of a
room, its exterior covered with hearts and flowers, while
from its interior a crime was announced using audio effects
(the sounds of a typewriter, a ringing telephone, laughter,
footsteps, a door opening, a bottle being uncorked… and
finally two gunshots and the sound of a body falling). An
adjacent room was painted blood red. Even Dumme Gans
(literally ‘stupid goose’, how the witch refers to Gretel), is a
charmingly sweet, full scale house, its exterior envelope
