di dieci sedie girevoli, gialle, rosse, blu e verdi, quelle note
di Charles Eames ma con la gamba piantata nel terreno.
Attendono qualcuno che si sieda per parlare, conversare,
meditare. Il tema è qui la relazione, con l’opera ma anche
tra i suoi fruitori.
In una perlustrazione dei territori dell’arte a 360° -
dall’oggetto al disegno al video - Moro approda anche alla
performance. Studio per un probabile equilibrio in
movimento è titolo abbastanza letterale per i 15 minuti di
performance di Liliana Moro e Giovanna Lué all’interno di
uno spettacolo di danza al Teatro Fabbricone di Prato,
sotto la regia di Virgilio Sieni.Le due protagoniste, legate
tra di loro e con una tastiera a sua volta legata al corpo di
Moro, avanzano da dietro lo schermo e compiono un
semicerchio sul palcoscenico. Incedono goffamente, con
grande difficoltà e si fermano ogni tanto in posizioni
scomode e rischiose mentre il suono di fondo è
accentuato da una nota sempre diversa suonata da
Moro. Alla perfezione delle altre ballerine Moro e Lué
contrappongono movimenti difficili e impacciati.
Parlando di alcuni dei lavori più recenti, Moro ne
sottolinea l’aspetto fortemente politico. Un aspetto che
caratterizza del resto tutto il suo percorso, dai tempi
dell’apprendistato con Fabro. Politico è anche
coinvolgere lo spettatore nel lavoro; politico è
smascherare l’ipocrisia che guida i comportamenti privati.
Negli ultimi lavori però si assiste a un sovvertimento, a
quello che Emanuela De Cecco chiama ribaltamento
della relazione figura-sfondo 51 . A Care Of/Viafarini
espone nel 2008 This is the End. Definendo i percorsi
espositivi attraverso la costruzione di muri separatori in
placed four groups of ten well known swivelling chairs in
yellow, red, blue and green designed by Charles Eames,
though their supporting leg was planted in the ground.
They await someone who sits to speak, hold a
conversation or meditate. The theme here is that of
relation, with the work but also between its users.
During a reconnaissance of the territories of art at 360° -
from the object to the drawing to video – Moro also landed
in the realm of performance. Studio per un probabile
equilibrio in movimento (Study for a Probable Equilibrium in
Movement) is the rather literal title of a 15-minute
performance by Liliana Moro and Giovanna Lué, presented
during a dance performance at the Fabbricone Theatre in
Prato directed by Virgilio Sieni. The two protagonists, tied
to one another and with a keyboard strapped to Moro’s
body, advanced from behind a screen, tracing a semicircle
on stage. They moved clumsily, with great difficulty,
stopping every now and again in uncomfortable and risky
positions while background noise was accentuated by
different notes played by Moro. The perfection of the other
dancers was juxtaposed by the difficult and clumsy
movements of Moro and Lué.
Speaking about her more recent works, Moro underlines
their highly political aspect. An aspect, what is more, that
characterises the rest of her development, since the time of
her apprenticeship with Fabro. Also political is the
involvement of the spectator in the work; political is also the
unmasking of the hypocrisy that guides private behaviour.
During her recent works, however, there is a subversion,
what Emanuela De Cecco calls an inversion of the figureground
relation. 51 At Care Of/Viafarini, in 2008, she
