Product designer Harry Thaler was born<br />
in Meran/<strong>Merano</strong> in 1975, has lived in<br />
London since 2008 but still manages to<br />
divide his time between the design capital<br />
of the world and his home town. After<br />
completing his apprenticeship as a goldsmith,<br />
he started studying at the Faculty<br />
of Design and Art at the Free University<br />
of Bozen/Bolzano, but he dropped out<br />
to move to London where he studied<br />
Product Design at the royal College of<br />
Art. He completed the program in 2010.<br />
Harry Thaler’s works can be admired internationally<br />
in various exhibits and in<br />
his home town at the Pur Südtirol market<br />
in Corso della Libertà where he did the<br />
interior design and in Bolzano at the Living<br />
Kampill temporary apartment where<br />
he puts a modern spin on the traditional<br />
Stube, typically a classic example of an<br />
alpine farming environment. You can<br />
also find his work in the Casa Atelier, a<br />
workshop for artists and curators that<br />
was designed from one of his ideas and<br />
at the Museion, the museum for modern<br />
and contemporary art in Bolzano.
