All’interno si trova una statua in gesso
risalente al XV secolo raffigurante la
Madonna col Bambino. Chiude il
Santuario un portale in bronzo
realizzato su disegno dello scultore
Arnaldo Pomodoro.
This is an unusual complex that stands
on the top of a rocky spur that rises on
the bed of the Marecchia River, in the
nature reserve. It can only be reached
on foot. It houses a plaster statue,
dating from the 15 th century, of the
Madonna with Child. The sanctuary has
a bronze door based on a design by the
sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro.

Allestito nel monastero dei Padri
Agostiniani, la cui fondazione risale al
VII sec. custodisce reperti rari e di
grande raffinatezza estetica estratti da
centinaia di tombe villanoviano -
etrusche databili fra il IX e VII sec. a. C.
The museum is housed in the Monastery
of the Augustinian Fathers, which was
founded in the 7 th century, and contains
rare exhibits of great beauty and elegance
found in Etruscan-Villanovan tombs
dating from the 9 th - 7 th century B.C.

È detta anche Rocca del Sasso per la sua
posizione all’apice dello sperone di roccia
che sovrasta il paese e domina tutto il
territorio circostante. È in possesso dei
Malatesta a partire dalla fine del 1100; qui
è nato il Mastin Vecchio, considerato uno
dei capostipiti della famiglia, che si sposta
a Rimini e consolida il potere sulla città.
Da vedere all’interno: la sala grande, le
varie stanze che ospitano abitualmente
mostre e allestimenti, il mastio con il suo
terrazzo panoramico, le segrete.
The fortress is also known as the
“Fortress of the Rock” due to its position
on top of a huge rocky spur, that rises
high above the town and dominates the
entire valley. The Malatesta family has
owned the fortress since the end of the
12 th century and “Mastin Vecchio”, one of
the founders of the family who
consolidated its power by moving to
Rimini, was born here. Inside the fortress,
visitors will find the Grand Hall, various
rooms used for exhibitions and other
cultural events, the keep with its
panoramic terrace, and the dungeons.
