carry on with their father’s entrepreneurial effort

Arthur Andersen secretary to the historical trade
unionists from the ‘70’s and from the present, technicians,
fiends both old and new; and the priest, surprised
by such an emotional atmosphere, who after receiving
someinformationfromthosepresent,beganbysaying:“...ifanyone
is in a hurry let them set their mind at rest, because today
I have to speak at length about Mr. Ricciarini”.
A man with an innate entrepreneurial intuition, always eager
to examine novelties, with an extraordinary attention to human
aspects and to the respect of individuals. Our father Gianfranco
was born in Rimini in 1935; after the war, the whole
family moved to Rome, where he obtained his accountant’s li-
cense;byreplyingtoanadvertisement,heenteredtheworld
of American consulting firms, first Pricewaterhouse Coopers,
then, as from 1958, Arthur Andersen in Milan; he therefore obtained
a thorough training in the field of balance sheet certifications
and consolidated this knowledge in 1959 in the US, at
the Chicago headquarters. Having returned to Italy, he was entrusted
with founding and organizing Arthur Andersen’s historical
branch in Rome.
Among the main clients at the time he was entrusted with Slim
(Società Lavorazioni Industriali Metalli – Industrial Metal Machining
Company), founded in 1963 as a joint venture between
US-based Reynolds, one of the great multinational companies
in the aluminium sector, and Montecatini, whose Mineral and
Metal section dealt with the light metal.
