The new corporate identity that unites two traditional
businesses: Elettroprogetti SA of Camorino and the RVCS
design branch of Colombo & Pedroni SA of Bellinzona.
TThe result of the merger is Tecnoprogetti SA, a company that
boasts forty years of experience in the field of building and
industrial plant engineering. Run by Ing. Graziano Crugnola
since 2006, over the years it has undergone extensive restructuring on
both an organisational and operational level. The company is known for
operating in two distinct areas of design: building plant engineering
and industrial plant engineering. “By building plant engineering,”
says director Crugnola, “we mean the design of electrical and security
installations, whereas by industrial plant engineering we mainly mean the
design of computerised and automated systems for motorway tunnel and
aqueduct.”
“With the acquisition of the RVCS branch of Colombo & Pedroni SA,”
explains Crugnola, “our business can expand further and take in a third
sector of the engineering business: the design of Heating, Ventilation, Air
Conditioning and Sanitary Systems.”
The acquisition of the new company branch has created an organisation
of 22 employees, and made it the first company in the Canton to
combine all the design activities of building plant engineering under
one roof. In a Ticino market, where we are expecting a downturn in the
construction business over the next few years, this represents a formidable
challenge.
However, Tecnoprogetti SA intends to face it with optimism, as the only
design practice in Ticino capable of offering customers and architects
design services for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Sanitary
and Electrical systems, and as a single package, thereby optimising
the synergies between the different areas of application. “It means
mastering the maximum professionalism and quality, while at the same time
optimising the design costs and communication flows between architects
and specialists”, emphasises Crugnola.
From a professional point of view, the three branches cover design,
consultancy, project management and works supervision in the sectors
of high- and low-voltage installations, domotics (home automation),
industrial automation, plant engineering for underground works and
traffic installations, photovoltaics, water treatment, and thermoclimatic,
hydro-sanitary and refrigeration plant engineering.
“In the environmental field we can cite systems for energy recovery, for
reclamation and heat optimisation in buildings.” "In the building sector,”
emphasises the director, “the entire electrical installation in the building
housing the new waste to energy plant in Giubiasco was designed by our
practice.” “As regards the industrial sector, I would mention the study
relating to the impact on electromechanical systems of the Melide-Grancia
tunnel, which was commissioned because of vibrations during the drilling
of the new underground passage inside the tunnel, or the development of
various detailed projects for renovating motorway tunnel installations.”
Our main market is in Ticino but we are also keeping a close eye to the
North and South of the Alps. “We are pursuing our consulting and
support activities for the design of an industrial plant in northern Italy, but
the main catchment area remains Switzerland, where we are present with
almost every sector of our activity. One of our major commissions, still in
the area of electrical and industrial design, was obtained from Alptransit.”
“Our aim is not to go for growth for its own sake, but to consolidate the
three branches of the company and improve our competitiveness and
innovation without losing the everyday atmosphere of mutual collaboration
amongst all employees that is typically found in successful small and
medium-sized enterprises and which has always been a distinctive feature
of the two companies even before Tecnoprogetti was formed.”
