Samenwerking en samenspraak tussen verschillendedisciplines, zoals revalidatiearts, orthopedisch instrumentmaker en paramedicus is hierbijvan groot belang. Centraal in het hele proces staat echter de patiënt, die daarom ook moetworden meegenomen in deze samenspraak. De wens van de patiënt dient het uitgangspuntte blijven bij het bepalen van het prothesevoorschrift.Aanbevelingen- De werkgroep is van mening dat bij het voorschrijven van een beenprothese hetzogenaamde Protocol verstrekkingsproces beenprothesen gevolgd moet worden.- De werkgroep is tevens van mening dat het Protocol verstrekkingsprocesbeenprothesen regelmatig herzien moet worden.- De werkgroep is van mening dat een eerste prothesevoorschrift multidisciplinairbepaald wordt (niet perse bij een herhaalvoorziening).- De werkgroep is van mening dat de wens van de patiënt het uitgangspunt is bij hetbepalen van het prothesevoorschrift.- De werkgroep is van mening dat de amputatiepatiënt per interval niet alleen in de tijdvervolgd moet worden door de orthopedisch instrumentmaker maar zeker ook doorde revalidatiearts; bij een veranderde patiëntsituatie is verandering van hetvoorschrift van de prothese mogelijk.Literatuur- Baars EC, Geertzen JH.
