Özet
Bu makalede tarihselcilik kavramıyla ilgisi olan hermeneutik, tarihsellik,
tarihsicilik ve evrensellik kavramlarının anlam çerçevesi, bunların Kur’an’la ilgili
kullanımlarda hangi anlamlara gelebileceği ve bunlarla nelerin kastedildiği üzerinde
durulmuştur. Tarihselcilik düşüncesinin Batıda doğup geliştiği ve oradan Đslam
dünyasına intikal ettiği belirtilmiştir. Đslam dünyasındaki tartışmalarda gelenekte var
olduğu iddia edilen bazı argümanların sahihliği irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca somut örnekler
üzerinde durularak yöntemin neticeleri tartışılmıştır.

Method of historicism in the interpretation of the Koran
Summary
This article mainly aims to analyze the concept of hermeneutic, historicism,
historicity and universality. Also, it emphasizes the usage and the purpose of these
concepts in the Qur’an. It is implied that the thought of historicism has emerged and
developed in the West, and then, transferred to Islamic world. The authenticity of
some ideas which are claimed to be available in tradition in the discussions of
Islamic world have been questioned. Also, the consequences of the method are
studied by focusing on the certain samples.
