Nach einigen Jahren am Theater und in der Verlagsbranche machte sie ihre Leidenschaft, den <strong>Film</strong>, zum Beruf. Seit 2007 leitet sie bei EU XXL FILM das Projekt Die Reihe, das Wanderkino des 21. Jahrhunderts. Paul Zajacz, geboren 1977 in Wien, ist Rechtswissenschaftler. Neben dem Studium arbeitete er als Regieassistent am Wiener Theater Scala und am Schauspielhaus Wien. Er absolvierte die Gerichtspraxis im Oberlandesgericht Wien und war bis Ende 2009 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Ludwig-Boltzmann-Institut für Europarecht. Seit 2010 ist er für EU XXL FILM tätig. Banu Mukhey studied Theater science at the University of Vienna. After several years of working in the Theater and the publishing industry, she turned her passion for film into a profession. Since 2007, she has been the head of the EU XXL FILM project Die Reihe, the travelling cinema of the 21st century. Paul Zajacz, born 1977 in Vienna, is a jurist. During his law studies he worked as assistant director at Vienna’s Theaters Scala and Schauspielhaus. He gained his practical law court experience at the Court of Appeal in Vienna and worked as a research assistant at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for European Law until the end of 2009. He has worked for EU XXL FILM since 2010. Arash T. Riahi Künstlerische Beratung Artistic adviser FOTO: JÖRG BURGER Arash T. Riahi, 1972 im Iran geboren, lebt seit 1982 in Österreich. Noch während der Schulzeit unternahm er erste Kurzfilmversuche. Nach seiner Zeit als Student der <strong>Film</strong>- und Geisteswissenschaften an der Universität Wien war er freier Mitarbeiter des ORF, unter anderem bei den Sendungen nitebox und kunst-stücke. 1997 gründete er gemeinsam mit Kollegen die <strong>Film</strong>- und Medienproduktionsfirma Golden Girls <strong>Film</strong>produktion. Seit 2010 ist er Gruppenleiter und Dramaturg beim MEDIA Programm SOURCES 2. Riahis <strong>Film</strong>schaffen umfasst eine Reihe von Dokumentarfilmen für Fernsehen und Kino, Werbespots, Musik-Videos, Kurz- und Experimentalfilme, darunter auch die mehrfach international prämierte, außergewöhnliche Familiengeschichte Exile Family Movie. Sein erster Spielfilm Ein Augenblick Freiheit aus dem Jahr 2008 erhielt 30 internationale Auszeichnungen und war der offizielle österreichische Kandidat für den Auslandsoscar 2010. Arash T. Riahi, born 1972 in Iran, has lived in Austria since 1982. When still at school, he did his first attempts at making short films. After graduating in film and human science at the University of Vienna, he worked as a freelancer at the Austrian TV channel ORF for television programmes such as nitebox and kunststücke. In 1997, together with some of his colleagues, he founded the film and media production company Golden Girls <strong>Film</strong>produktion. He’s been the group leader and dramatic adviser at the MEDIA programme SOURCES 2 since 2010. His body of work comprises various awarded documentaries, commercials, music videos, short and experimental films, including the internationally acclaimed and award winning documentary Exile Family Movie. His first feature film Ein Augenblick Freiheit from the year 2008 received 30 international awards und was Austria’s official candidate for the Best Foreign Picture Oscar in 2010.
