Many Western directors have filmed the Cuba of Fidel Castro. Even more films incorporate cliché<br />
images and notions. Radovanovic, with the sensitivity of an intuitive artist, constantly kept processing<br />
images from life during his yearlong stay there teaching at the Cuban film academy. Drawing<br />
us into the everyday life of common men, with a sharp observer’s eye and a poet’s soul, the author<br />
takes us on a meditative, somewhat melancholic and visually exciting journey.
