<strong>HP</strong>ONCFG<br />
The <strong>HP</strong>ONCFG utility is an online configuration tool used to set up <strong>and</strong> configure <strong>iLO</strong> from within<br />
Windows <strong>and</strong> Linux operating systems without requiring a reboot of the server operating system.<br />
<strong>HP</strong>ONCFG runs in a comm<strong>and</strong> line mode <strong>and</strong> must be executed from an operating system comm<strong>and</strong><br />
line using an account with administrator or root access. <strong>HP</strong>ONCFG provides a limited graphical<br />
interface for servers that use Windows operating systems.<br />

<strong>HP</strong>ONCFG requirements<br />
Windows-based servers—The <strong>iLO</strong> Management Interface Driver must be loaded on the server. The<br />
SmartStart operating system installation process normally installs this driver. During execution,<br />
<strong>HP</strong>ONCFG issues a warning if it cannot locate the driver. If the driver is not installed, you must<br />
download <strong>and</strong> install the driver on the server. Download the driver from the <strong>HP</strong> website at:<br />

Installing <strong>HP</strong>ONCFG<br />
The <strong>HP</strong>ONCFG utility is delivered in separate packages for Windows <strong>and</strong> Linux operating systems.<br />
For Windows operating systems, it is included as a smart component. For Linux operating systems,<br />
it is included as an RPM package file. <strong>HP</strong>ONCFG packages are included in the ProLiant <strong>Support</strong><br />
Pack.<br />
Windows server installation<br />
<strong>HP</strong>ONCFG installs automatically when the ProLiant <strong>Support</strong> Pack is installed. To install <strong>HP</strong>ONCFG<br />
manually, run the self-extracting executable.<br />
<strong>HP</strong>ONCFG creates a directory at:<br />
