Each of the students had to deliver a report about their stay in Malta. Here we are with a few excerpts:
Lenz Tobias, who wasn’t allowed to come with us,
wrote:
“Instead of this I had to work at the Villa Blanka Restaurant,
without any payment, seven hours a day. It
was drudgery as I was the only one of the boys who
had to stay at home and keep the business running.
I also had the guess that this misery was a complot
against me, constructed by Mrs. Reiter, Mr. Kreinig
and my mother, where as Mr. Feiersinger, needless to
say, was innocent about this whole affair.”
When a doing a project week abroad Mrs. Reiter and
Mr. Feiersinger can’t be surpassed when it comes to
timing: On our last night before going back home we
were celebrating Ann-Katrin’s 17 th birthday. Ann-Katrin
Scheiber put it as follows:
“It was half past eight in the evening Miriam, Victoria
and I went for dinner with Philipp and Daniel. After
dinner we went to Paceville to meet some other friends.
The next morning was my birthday and so we
celebrated a little bit. Miriam, Anastasia, Theresa
and Daniel surprised me at twelve o’clock with muffins.
We had a lot of fun. We went to a few other
clubs and discos. There we were dancing till the small
hours of the morning.”
In Shakespeare it says, ”Mischief, thou art away”
which came true when Philipp Reinstaller arrived at
his host Mum’s house:
“On our first day our host mum surprised us with burgers
and chips. I did not notice the egg in the middle
of the burger, bit into the burger just like that and the
yellow part of the egg went out of the burger, directly
on my host mum’s arm. Nice beginning of an exciting
week at our family.”
Benjamin Korin, a tough Tyrolean, finished off with
his report as follows,
“On the one hand Malta was an adventure and
something different from home but on the other it
is most beautiful in Tyrol and I was happy to be back
again.”
Aurel Strolz isn’t really the best when it comes to
spelling correctly. He wrote in his diary,
“At the security check, Benny, one of my class m a i
d s , became quite nervous because it was peeping
when he walked through.”
Nils Schabert, quite an expert at playing table soccer,
knew whom to choose to play with. He wrote:
“After the harbor cruise we went with you, Mr. Feiersinger,
to the gaming hall where we were playing
table football and bowling. And Mr. Feiersinger and I
were the unbeatable winners in table football!”
Das ist das Angenehme auf Reisen, dass auch das Gewöhnliche durch Neuheit und Überraschung das Aussehen
eines Abenteuers gewinnt.
