banking which, in partnership with the Hollard Group in 1995,<br />
culminated in the listing of the Baobab Investment Trust, the<br />
forerunner of the current ABIL Group. He currently serves as the<br />
deputy chairman for ABIL and executive director on the <strong>African</strong><br />
<strong>Bank</strong> board.<br />

Housing from 1994 to 1996, then appointed as CEO of the National<br />
Housing Finance Corporation in 1996, tasked to set this housing<br />
wholesale funding corporation up for government, chaired the<br />
Mortgage Indemnity Fund set up by government to facilitate reentry<br />
by the major banks into the low income mortgage market<br />
from inception in 1995 to closure in 1998, was also instrumental in<br />
setting up the National Home Builders Registration Council in 1995<br />
for government and served as vice-chairman of this council during<br />
1995 to 2001. He also served as a member of the National Housing<br />
Board from 1995 to 1998 and as a director of the Johannesburg<br />
Housing Company Limited from 1995 to 1998.<br />
