Lessons<br />

The following lessons are derivable from <strong>the</strong> hadith:<br />

1. Anger should be controlled in any circumstance.<br />

2. Through anger, man losses his sense <strong>of</strong> discretion and this may<br />

lead him to doing worse things or comitting more gravious sins.<br />

3. Uncontrolled anger begets regrets in private, public and religious<br />

lives.<br />

4.0 CONCLUSION<br />

Our closer look at all <strong>the</strong> hadiths discussed in this unit, just like o<strong>the</strong>rs,<br />

will show those basic guidelines that would make life worth living for<br />

man if followed. All <strong>the</strong> hadiths which primarily address <strong>the</strong> Muslims<br />

are also important for all human beings irrespective <strong>of</strong> religion, sex or<br />

race. They form <strong>the</strong> fundamental recipes for a peaceful and orderly<br />

society.<br />

5.0 SUMMARY<br />

• The major <strong>the</strong>me <strong>of</strong> hadith 11 is that a Muslim must leave those<br />

acts in which he is doubtful and embrace those in which <strong>the</strong>re is<br />

no doubt expecially on matters that have to do with religion.<br />

• <strong>Hadith</strong> 12 stresses that one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> best determinants <strong>of</strong> man’s<br />

• religious value is to abstain from interfering in ano<strong>the</strong>r man’s<br />

affairs.<br />

• <strong>Hadith</strong> 13 states that man’s belief can adequately be measured<br />

• when he wishes for o<strong>the</strong>rs what he wishes for himself.<br />

• <strong>Hadith</strong> 14 gives <strong>the</strong> conditions under which a man may face<br />

capital punishment: a married man who commits adultery, a man<br />

who kills ano<strong>the</strong>r man unjustly and one who renounces his Islam<br />

and <strong>the</strong>reafter causes evils in <strong>the</strong> society.<br />

• <strong>Hadith</strong> 15 teaches etiquettes in speech, good neighbourliness and<br />

hospitality to guest.<br />

• <strong>Hadith</strong> 16 is emphatic in its warning to mankind to shun anger.<br />
