1.0 INTRODUCTION<br />

<strong>Hadith</strong>s 24 and 25 are <strong>the</strong> two apostolic traditions to be discussed in this<br />

unit. The 24 th hadith is a hadith Qudsiy related by <strong>the</strong> prophet <strong>of</strong> Allah.<br />

It stresses <strong>the</strong> fact that Almighty Allah is <strong>the</strong> source <strong>of</strong> all happenings in<br />

life. The 25 th hadith emphasises that charity is not necessarily meant to<br />

be valued in monetary term. A study <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se hadith shall still follow <strong>the</strong><br />

usual pattern i.e. Arabic text, translation, commentary and lessons.<br />

2.0 OBJECTIVES<br />

At <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> this unit, you should be able to:<br />

• read all <strong>the</strong> hadith fluently<br />

• translate <strong>the</strong>m into English language<br />

• discuss <strong>the</strong> commentary extensively<br />

• give <strong>the</strong> moral lessons contained <strong>the</strong>rein<br />

• describe <strong>the</strong> uniqueness <strong>of</strong> each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
