1.0 INTRODUCTION<br />

The central <strong>the</strong>me <strong>of</strong> hadith 25 in <strong>the</strong> last unit (i.e unit 8) is reward on<br />

charity. <strong>Hadith</strong> 26, elaborates explanation on <strong>the</strong> scope <strong>of</strong> charity. This<br />

<strong>Hadith</strong> coupled with <strong>the</strong> act <strong>of</strong> righteousness in hadith 27 and what<br />

seems to be a parting exhortation by <strong>the</strong> Prophet in hadith 28, shall be<br />

studied under this unit. Arabic text presentation shall be followed by its<br />

translation, commentary and lessons derivable <strong>the</strong>rein.<br />

2.0 OBJECTIVES<br />

At <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> this unit, you should be able to:<br />

• read all <strong>the</strong> hadith fluently<br />

• translate <strong>the</strong>m to English language<br />

• discuss <strong>the</strong> commentary extensively<br />

• give <strong>the</strong> moral lessons contained <strong>the</strong>rein<br />

• describe <strong>the</strong> uniqueness <strong>of</strong> each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
