1.0 INTRODUCTION<br />

Three <strong>Hadith</strong>s are to be discussed in this unit. These are hadiths 34, 35<br />

and 36. <strong>Hadith</strong> 34 discuses <strong>the</strong> method by which a Muslim could effect<br />

changes in any work that is disapproved by Allah. In <strong>Hadith</strong> 35, <strong>the</strong><br />

discussion focuses on admonition while <strong>the</strong> 36th hadith deals with<br />

reward accruable to any one who takes up some religious duties. The<br />

normal method <strong>of</strong> presentation shall be followed viz: Arabic text,<br />

translation, commentary, and lesson.<br />

2.0 OBJECTIVES<br />

At <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> this unit, you should be able to:<br />

• read all <strong>the</strong> hadith fluently<br />

• translate <strong>the</strong>m in to English language<br />

• discuss <strong>the</strong> commentary extensively<br />

• give <strong>the</strong> moral lesson contained <strong>the</strong>rein<br />

• describe <strong>the</strong> uniqueness <strong>of</strong> each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
