ANSWER:<br />

I am informed that:<br />

(2) Has the minister asked that funds for the conduct <strong>of</strong> the investigation be included in the 2011–12<br />

budget by writing to the —<br />

(a) Premier; and<br />

(b) Treasurer.<br />

(3) Has the provision <strong>of</strong> $50 000 for the conduct <strong>of</strong> the investigation been included in any budget<br />

submission made by the minister for the 2011–12 budget.<br />

(4) Has the minister taken any formal action to ensure the provision <strong>of</strong> $50 000 in 2011–12.<br />

The government, as part <strong>of</strong> the 2011–12 budgetary process has allocated $50 000 to investigating the generation <strong>of</strong><br />

green power from Ballarat’s green waste. This is outlined in the recent <strong>Victoria</strong>n budget media release dated 3 May<br />

2011.<br />

Environment and climate change: Mordialloc Creek — dredging<br />

214. MR LENDERS — To ask the Minister for Health (for the Minister for Environment and Climate<br />

Change): In relation to the member for Mordialloc’s announcement on Twitter on 21 March 2011 that<br />

she had given ‘time lines on creek dredging’:<br />

ANSWER:<br />

I am informed that:<br />

(1) What are the time lines involved for the dredging project.<br />

(2) Does the government stand by its election promise <strong>of</strong> providing $6 million for the dredging<br />

project.<br />

The dredging <strong>of</strong> Mordialloc Creek falls under the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the Minister for Water.<br />

Sport and recreation: Carrum–Warburton shared use track — funding<br />

241. MR TARLAMIS — To ask the Minister for Housing (for the Minister for Sport and Recreation): In<br />

relation to the government’s commitment to complete the construction <strong>of</strong> the Carrum to Warburton<br />

shared use bike walking track, what is the total funding that will be provided to complete this project.<br />

ANSWER:<br />

I am informed that:<br />

Funding up to $5 million over two years was part <strong>of</strong> the government’s election commitment.<br />
