Health: Ballarat Health Services — funding<br />

622. MS PULFORD — To ask the Minister for Health: What was the recurrent funding provided to Ballarat<br />

Health Services by the <strong>Victoria</strong>n government in —<br />

ANSWER:<br />

(a) 2006-07;<br />

(b) 2007–08;<br />

(c) 2008–09;<br />

(d) 2009–10; and<br />

(e) 2010–11.<br />

The information is accessible in the budget papers and Ballarat Health Services annual report.<br />

Health: Ballarat Health Services — funding<br />

623. MS PULFORD — To ask the Minister for Health: What capital projects were undertaken by Ballarat<br />

Health Services in each <strong>of</strong> the financial years 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09, 2009–10 and 2010–11 and<br />

for each project:<br />

ANSWER:<br />

(1) What was the total cost <strong>of</strong> the project.<br />

(2) What funds were provided by the <strong>Victoria</strong>n government for the project.<br />

(3) Has each project been completed; if not, what is the estimated or expected completion date.<br />

I am informed that over the 4 years – 2006–07 – 2009–10 inclusive, total capital was $30 million.<br />

In 2010–11, the capital project undertaken by Ballarat Health Services was the development <strong>of</strong> the Ballarat<br />

Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC).<br />

(1) The total cost <strong>of</strong> this project is estimated to be $55.0 million.<br />

(2) A total <strong>of</strong> $13 million has been committed by the state government. The federal government has committed<br />

an additional $42 million for this project.<br />

(3) This project has not yet been completed. The estimated completion date for this project is approximately June<br />

2013.<br />

Public transport: Metcard and myki tickets — usage<br />

676. MR BARBER — To ask the Minister for Planning (for the Minister for Public Transport): In relation<br />

to metropolitan train ticketing systems throughout April 2011, how many —<br />

ANSWER:<br />

(a) validations were recorded by Metcard tickets; and<br />

(b) touch-ons were recorded by myki tickets.<br />
