Sport and recreation: Eastern Rail Trail — funding<br />

246. MR TARLAMIS — To ask the Minister for Housing (for the Minister for Sport and Recreation): In<br />

relation to the government’s commitment to link the major activity centres <strong>of</strong> Box Hill and Ringwood<br />

through the new shared use Eastern Rail Trail, in which financial year(s) will funding be provided.<br />

ANSWER:<br />

An election commitment was made to provide funding <strong>of</strong> $2.5 million per year in 2013–14 and 2014–15.<br />

Sport and recreation: Eastern Rail Trail — construction<br />

247. MR TARLAMIS — To ask the Minister for Housing (for the Minister for Sport and Recreation): In<br />

relation to the government’s commitment to link the major activity centres <strong>of</strong> Box Hill and Ringwood<br />

through the new shared use Eastern Rail Trail, when will construction on the trail —<br />

ANSWER:<br />

I am informed that:<br />

(a) begin; and<br />

(b) be completed.<br />

Implementation issues, including commencement and completion dates for the track are under consideration.<br />

Consumer affairs: liquor licensed venues — compliance visits<br />

587. MR PAKULA — To ask the Minister for Planning (for the Minister for Consumer Affairs): How<br />

many compliance visits did Consumer Affairs <strong>Victoria</strong> make to liquor licensed venues from<br />

1 December 2010 to 31 March 2011.<br />

ANSWER:<br />

I am advised that:<br />

The compliance directorate in Responsible Alcohol <strong>Victoria</strong> made 4979 compliance visits to licensed premises<br />

between 1 December 2010 and 31 March 2011, and 5488 compliance visits to licensed premises between 1 August<br />

2010 and 30 November 2010. The difference in the number <strong>of</strong> compliance visits between the respective periods<br />

corresponds in percentage terms with the difference between the equivalent periods in 2009–10. Responsible<br />

Alcohol <strong>Victoria</strong> is on track to meet the budget target <strong>of</strong> 16 000 compliance visits for 2010–11.<br />
