I am informed that:<br />

Funding over two years <strong>of</strong> up to $5 million, for the completion <strong>of</strong> the Carrum to Warburton shared use track was<br />

part <strong>of</strong> the government’s election commitment. Implementation issues, including commencement and completion<br />

dates for the track are under consideration.<br />

Sport and recreation: Carrum–Warburton shared use track — funding<br />

243. MR TARLAMIS — To ask the Minister for Housing (for the Minister for Sport and Recreation): In<br />

relation to the government’s commitment to complete the construction <strong>of</strong> the Carrum to Warburton<br />

shared use bike walking track, in which financial year(s) will funding be provided.<br />

ANSWER:<br />

I am informed that:<br />

Sport and recreation: Eastern Rail Trail — funding<br />

245. MR TARLAMIS — To ask the Minister for Housing (for the Minister for Sport and Recreation): In<br />

relation to the government’s commitment to link the major activity centres <strong>of</strong> Box Hill and Ringwood<br />

through the new shared use Eastern Rail Trail, has the minister asked that funding be included in the<br />

2011–12 state budget by writing to the —<br />

ANSWER:<br />

(a) Premier; and<br />

(b) Treasurer.<br />

An election commitment was made to provide funding <strong>of</strong> $2.5 million per year in 2013–14 and 2014–15.
