With its fairytale landscape of wooded slopes,
plunging waterfalls and faux grottos, Buttes-
Chaumont park has long been a green haven in the
gritty 19th. In recent years out-of-the-ordinary cafés
and restaurants have sprouted in the surrounding
streets and in the gardens themselves, helping
transform the area into a new property hot spot.
Avec ses jolies perspectives, ses collines
bucoliques, ses cascades romantiques et ses
fausses grottes, le parc des Buttes-Chaumont est
depuis longtemps une oasis de verdure dans le gris
du XIX e . Dernièrement des cafés et restaurants
originaux sont apparus dans les rues alentour et
ont provoqué une ruée vers le quartier transformé.

At the top of the hill inside the park itself,
this mellow café and tapas bar (pictured
right) becomes a hip, gay-friendly spot for
drinks and dancing in the evening.

où l’on peut danser, se restaurer et
prendre un verre avec des amis.
