Minority Business Enterprise means a business which is. a sole proprietorship, parership or
corporation at least 5 i % of which is owned and controlled by persons who are Mrican
American, Hispanic, Asian American, American Indian or Alaska native, defined as follows:
African American: a personbaving origins in any of the black racial groups of Afrca
¡ Hispanic: a person of Mexican, Puert Rican, Central or South American or other non-European
Spansh culture or origin regadless of rae.
Asian: a persn having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, South East Asia,
