RESOLUTION HONORING RICHARD ClARK<br />

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF FRANK R. CONWELL MIDDLE SCHOOL<br />

ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT<br />

COUNCIL AS A WHOLE, offered and moved adoption of the following resolution:<br />

WHEREAS, Richard Clark earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Special Education at <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong><br />

State College in 1971. He later furthered his education at Montclair State College earning a Master<br />

of Arts Degree in Student Personnel Services/Guidance in 1987. Mr. Clark also earned a Principal<br />

Supervisors Certification from <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> State College; and<br />

WHEREAS, Richard Clark began his career in education with the <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> Public School<br />

System as a Special Education Teacher in 1971 at Public School #32; and<br />

WHEREAS, from 1976 through 1992, Richard Clark faithfully assisted Snyder High School<br />

students as the Coordinator for the Special Education Department. Mr. Clark transferred to Public<br />

School #9 in 1992 to work as a guidance counselor and in 2007, Mr. Clark was named Assistant<br />

Principal of Frank R. Conwell Middle School #4; and<br />

WHEREAS, during his 39 year career, this dedicated educator has touched the lives of many<br />

various realms of the <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> Public School system including classroom instruction, guidance<br />

and education administration; and<br />

WHEREAS, Richard Clark has announced his intention to retire as Assistant Principal of the<br />

Frank R. Conwell Middle School #4 at the conclusion of this school year; and<br />

WHEREAS, Richard Clark is a loving husband and father of four children.<br />

WHEREAS, that the Municipal Council ofthe <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> does hereby honor Richard Clark<br />

for the many years of excellent service rendered to the <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> Public School System and the<br />

children of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong>. We wish him continued health and happiness in his retirement.<br />
