RESOLUTION HONORING<br />
(!eorge W. \!apIor<br />
ON THE OCCASlON OF HIS 70TH BIRTHDAY<br />
Council as a whole, offered and moved adoption of the following resolution:<br />
WHEREAS, George W. Taylor is the oldest living child born to the late Wilie and Viola Taylor;<br />
and<br />
WHEREAS, George W. Taylor retired from Lincoln Hospital in Bronx, New York where he served<br />
as a respiratory therapist and relocated to Florida in 1990; and<br />
WHEREAS, George W. Taylor was tutored in art by well-known local artists. The talented artist<br />
has participated in many art exhibits and has merited three first place, three second place, one<br />
third place and several honorable mention awards from the Lake Worth Art League. He has also<br />
been featured numerous times in the local newspaper and news media; and<br />
WHEREAS, George W. Taylor is a member of the Lake Worth and Delray Art Leagues. His<br />
artwork has been displayed at several outdoor shows at both Art Leagues and various offices and<br />
galleries throughout Palm Beach County; and<br />
WHEREAS, George W. Taylor volunteers his time to teach mentally challenged children and<br />
seniors. He has also taught via the Children's Education TV Program; and<br />
WHEREAS, George W. Taylor is a self-taught harmonicaplayer who enjoys fishing, listening to<br />
jazz and blues, reading black history and bike-riding; and<br />
WHEREAS, George W. Taylor is married to Doreen Taylor. He is the loving father of one<br />
daughter, Stacey. He has four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and<br />
WHEREAS, George W. Taylor will celebrate his 70th birthday on Saturday, June 26, 2010 with<br />
friends and family in Lake Worth, Florida.<br />
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Municipal Council of the <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> does<br />
hereby wish George W. Taylor continued health and happiness on the occasion and celebration<br />
of his 70th birthday.<br />
