RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THEA W AR OF CONTRACT TO MAONT CORP.,<br />

TO PROVIDE MEALS FOR THE 2010 SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM FOR<br />

THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMA SERVICES<br />

COUNCIL<br />

OFFERED AND MOVED ADOPTION OF THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:<br />

WHEREAS, there exists a need to provide meals for the 2010 Summer Food Service<br />

Program for the Department of Health & Human Services; and<br />

WHEREAS, pursuant to public advertisement the <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> has received Two (2)<br />

Bids, the lowest bid being that from Maramont Corp, 5600 First Avenue, Building C, Brooklyn,<br />

New York 11220 in the tota bid amount of One Hundred Eighty Nine Thousand, Five Hundred<br />

Twelve Dollars ($189,512.12) and Twelve Cents; and<br />

WHEREAS, the Acting <strong>City</strong> Purchasing Director has certified that he considers said bid to<br />

be fair and reasonable; and<br />

WHEREAS, these fuds are available for ths expenditue in accordance with requirements<br />

of the Local Budget Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-l et. seq.<br />

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Muncipal Council ofthe <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong><br />

<strong>City</strong> that the said bid of the aforementioned Maramont Corp be accepted and that a contract be<br />

awarded to said company in the above amount, and the <strong>City</strong>'s Acting Purchasing Director is directed<br />

to have such a contract drawn up and executed; and be it fuer<br />

RESOLVED, that upon certification by an offcial or employee ofthe <strong>City</strong> authorized to<br />

receive the material' pursuant to the contract, that the same has been received and that the<br />

requirements of the contrct met, then; payment to the contractor shall be made in accordance with<br />

the provisions of the Local Fiscal Afai Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:5-l et. seq; and be it fuer<br />
