RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JERS CIT POUCE DEPARTMENT TO APPLY FOR FUNDS
UNDE THE FY 10 EDWARI) BYRNE MEMORIALJUSTCE ASISANtE GRANT (JAG) STATE
PROGRAM THROUGH THE HUDSON COUNl PROSECUORS OFFICE
COUNCil AS A WHOLE, ofered and moved adoption of the following Resolution;
WHEREA, the Oty of Jersey C!ty Department of Police is eligible as a law enforcement agency
to submit an appliction for funding to the Hudson County Prosecutots Ofce that wil be
. submitEld in a consolidated application for all Hudson County law enforcements agencies;
WHEREA, the Department of Justice has announced that Jersey Oty has been designated to
recive an allocation of $381,534;
WHEREAS, The Jersey Cit Poliee Department wil utilze $381,534 for the continuation of foot
that: .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Munidpal Council of the City of Jersy City
and vehicular patrols that wil address qualit of life complaints, under cover tacticl gang _ and
drug enforcment operations. .
1. Tfe Jersey City Police Departmènt is hereby authorized to apply for funding from the FY
09 Edward Byrne Memarial Justice Asistnc Grant (JAG) State Program through the
Hudsn County Proseciitors Ofce
