RESOLUTION AUTHORIING THE GRAING OF A PERMT TO D&M FIRWORKS, LLC,
FOR A FIRWORKS DISPLAY ON JUY 16th, 2010
COUNCIL Offered and moved adoption of the follòwing Resolution:
WHREAS, D&M Fireworks, LLC, has applied for a permit to display fireworks on July 16,2010 for Our
Lady ofMt. Canel Church located at 99 Broadway, Jersey City, N.J.; and
WHEREAS, the application for fireworks display has been reviewed and approved by Thomas J. Corney,
Chief of Police and Deputy Chief Michael Blanchard, Fire Offcial, and is in compliance with the regulations
of the Fire Prevention Code of the City; and
WHEREAS, D&M Fireworks, LLC, has obtained public liabilty insurance in the total amount of
$1,000,000 covering bodily injury and propert damage with the City of Jersey City being named as an
additional co-insured; and
WHREAS, N.J.S.A. 2 i :3-3 provides that the permits for the display of fireworks must be authorized by
resolution of the Municipal CounciL.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the City of Jersey City that:

A permit be issued to D&M Fireworks, LLC, to display fireworks for Our Lady of Mt. Canel
Church on July 16, 2010 at Our Lady ofMt. Canel Church, 99 Broadway, Jersey City, New Jersey;
and
The permit be issued on condition that no fireworks display shall commence later than 10:00 P.M.
on said date; and
The permit be canceled in the event that D&M Fireworks, LLC, fails to comply with any of the
provisions of the Fire Deparent Code of the City of Jersey City; and
A duplicate copy of the application and permit be forwarded to the Bureau of Explosives of the
Deparent of Labor for _filing and public inspection.
