her, “Seven small people emerged and ran into<br />
the woods,” never to be seen again (“Space<br />
Ship,” 1954). In their absence, she examined<br />
the ship inside and out. Rather than escaping,<br />
the craft was taken to the General Electric laboratory,<br />
which subsequently informed her<br />
that it was made up of materials that “definitely<br />
did not belong to this earth.” According<br />
to Thayer, a dozen landings of ships with similar<br />
crews took place in Wisconsin and Illinois<br />
between 1919 and 1930.<br />

Raphael<br />
Raphael is responsible for the “Starseed transmissions,”<br />
said to come from a parallel dimension<br />
through channeler Ken Care y. Care y, a<br />
Missouri farmer, had no previous channeling<br />
experience before Raphael came through one<br />
day in 1979. He says the messages first arrive d<br />
via “w a ves or pulsations” that translated symbols<br />
into their verbal correlates. “Often,” he<br />
writes, “it was the case that the only human<br />
conceptual system with approximating terminology<br />
was religious. Hence, the occasional<br />
use of ‘Christian’ words and phrases” (Care y,<br />
1982). Eve n t u a l l y, the communications occ<br />
u r red more straightforw a rdly in En g l i s h .<br />
Raphael says he exists only when he is interacting<br />
with Carey or with whomever he is<br />
communicating through Carey. When he is<br />
not active, he merges “back into the Being behind<br />
all being,” awaiting his next mission. On<br />
one occasion, however, he claimed to be the<br />
intelligence represented by Christ.<br />

Raydia<br />
After a 1979 UFO sighting, Lyssa Royal<br />
found herself more and more fascinated with<br />
paranormal subjects. Her interests led her, in<br />
1984, to Darryl Anka, who channeled Bashar.<br />
During the period of her association with<br />
Anka, she had a vivid dream in which an entity<br />
appeared to inform her that soon she herself<br />
would be channeling. She was led to a<br />
channeling class in Los Angeles. By 1985, a<br />
number of entities were making their presence<br />
known to her. One was Raydia, who stayed<br />
with Royal for three years.<br />
Royal went on to found the Association of<br />
L ove and Light, channeling Raydia as well as<br />
some others. Raydia was a “heart - c e n t e re d”<br />
female entity, “a collective consciousness”<br />
with “a strong affiliation with the star Arct<br />
u rus.” She last communicated in 1988,<br />
telling persons who we re sitting in on a channeling<br />
session, “You will never see me in this<br />
form again.” Royal says that Raydia “integrated<br />
herself” into an entity Royal would<br />
subsequently channel, Germane (“Behind the<br />
Veil,” 1998).<br />

Renata channels through Scott Amun. On<br />
April 15, 1999, she (gender is presumed since<br />
the entity does not specify its sex) came<br />
t h rough for the first time to discuss va r i o u s<br />
i s s u e s .<br />
Renata says that on her planet, Os y l l i u m ,<br />
people look and act much like humans; ye t ,<br />
p a r a d ox i c a l l y, Os y l l i u m’s history is richer and<br />
m o re diverse than Eart h’s. Perhaps one re a s o n<br />
is that Osyllium people change their language<br />
e ve ry four or five years. They do this by adjusting<br />
their brain frequencies, and the purpose<br />
is to accelerate change and encourage
