SIMEON NORTH, DATED 1838<br />

of standard production specifications, complete with its<br />

combined ramrod bayonet (the steel parts cleaned and with<br />

areas of pitting)<br />

The 2nd U.S. Dragoons were armed with this carbine for<br />

their initial service in Florida, it was later replaced by the<br />

DATED 1850<br />

of regulation specifications, with sighted barrel rifled with<br />

seven grooves (the outer surface painted black), the lock<br />

stamped with the date and New Haven arsenal inscription,<br />

and with its brass-tipped steel ramrod, probably the<br />

original<br />
