with blade of flattened-hexagonal section etched with<br />
trophies-of-arms, the inscription ‘ For My Country and King’<br />
and the crowned Royal <strong>Arms</strong>, on each side (worn, silver hilt<br />
including straight quillons with compressed rounded<br />
terminals, oval shell-guard with gadrooned border (bent,<br />
now loose), flat knuckle-guard swelling towards the centre,<br />
and ovoid pommel (small dents, later grip)<br />

pommel, and spirally moulded grip<br />
