with broad slightly curved blade double-edged towards the<br />
point, cut with a long shallow fuller and etched with<br />
scrolling foliage on each side at the forte, gilt-brass hilt<br />
including cross-piece engraved with flowers on a beaded<br />
background and bone grip retained by three pairs of rivets<br />
with oval gilt-brass heads, in its original wooden scabbard<br />
with engraved gilt-brass mounts en suite with the hilt (the<br />
scabbard extensively worn); ANOTHER HUNTING SWORD,<br />
19TH CENTURY, with straight double-edged blade etched<br />
and gilt with trophies on a blued panel at the forte (worn),<br />
steel hilt including down-turned shell-guard, and natural<br />
staghorn grip, in its steel-mounted leather scabbard, the<br />
locket stamped ‘Kohl’; and ANOTHER HUNTING SWORD,<br />
18TH CENTURY, with slightly curved blade double-edged<br />
at the point, and hardwood grip inlaid with a spiralling line<br />
of staghorn and a series of moon masks (hilt incomplete),<br />
and retaining a portion of its leather scabbard<br />

cross-piece pierced with a trellis pattern centring on a<br />
rococo bouquet, engraved steel collar, and figured<br />
hardwood shaped grip retained by three pairs of rivets with<br />
oval washers, and the grip incised with patterns of wavy<br />
lines in imitation of horn; and ANOTHER, THIRD QUARTER<br />
OF THE 18TH CENTURY, with slightly curved broad blade<br />
double-edged towards the point (repaired), steel hilt<br />
including short down-curved quillon, curved knuckle-guard,<br />
and shaped hardwood grip retained by three pairs of rivets<br />
with oval heads<br />
