General Description
USFilter’s Vantage Series model LC Reverse Osmosis units are designed and
manufactured for commercial applications. Each LC model consists of a single
stage centrifugal pump and tap water low pressure membranes. They are preengineered,
pre-assembled units that minimize installation and start-up costs.
They are fully tested at the factory and only require simple utility connections
(feed water inlet, product water outlet, drains and power). They arrive with
membranes installed and are ready for immediate on-line service with minimal
set up and adjustments. Their simple designs maximize reliability of the Reverse
Osmosis unit. An optional modem is available for remote operation and
monitoring to tailor the Vantage Series Reverse Osmosis equipment for specific
customer requirements.
Each unit is a single pass RO system mounted on a polyurethane coated
structural steel frame. The RO unit includes a high pressure feed pump, PVC
end entry pressure vessels, and spiral wound thin film composite RO
membranes. Each RO unit also includes PVC low pressure piping, high pressure
brass fittings and nylon tube and fittings, polyethylene tube and fittings for low
pressure reject, reject recycle and product piping, and a system controller.
Mechanical Description
The major components are supported by the frame and designed in such a way
to provide easy access for servicing, maintenance, and monitoring system
performance. The frame is an open style full frame configuration designed to
provide maximum support and protection for the RO unit’s components and allow
access for maintenance and operation.
The feed piping is schedule 80 PVC. The low pressure reject, product and low
pressure reject recycle is Polyethylene tubing. The high pressure manifold is
constructed of threaded brass fittings and Nylon tubing and fittings. The inlet
piping connection is female pipe thread PVC fittings. The product outlet, reject
and autoflush connections are quick connect tube style. All high pressure valves,
reject throttling and reject recycle throttling needle valves are brass. Sample
valves are provided for the RO unit’s feed and product lines. An individual
sample valve is also located on the product line of each pressure vessel for
analyzing individual vessel performance. Cleaning connections are provided to
clean the RO membranes and pressure vessels. All of the cleaning connections
are quick connect tube fittings.
