Rural migration<br />

Regional variations in 2005/06 show<br />

that the Northern region had the<br />

highest proportion <strong>of</strong> individuals<br />

migrating with 36 per cent as compared<br />

to the other regions, the major reason<br />

being insecurity. However, with the<br />

prevailing peace this trend is likely<br />

to change. Other reasons cited for<br />

migration is drought, eviction and<br />

disease.<br />
