RESOLUTION NO. 13— 190<br />
APPROPRIATION FOR CHICAGO METROPOLITAN AGENCY FOR PLANNING (CMAP)<br />
WHEREAS, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is responsible for regional<br />
land use and transportation planning for the northeastern Illinois, including <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong>, (hereinafter<br />
the "region"); and<br />
WHEREAS, CMAP has completed the region's first integrated, long range land use and<br />
transportation plan for 2040; and<br />
WHEREAS, CMAP recognizes that partnerships and coordination with units of local government is<br />
critical to the successful implementation of the integrated, long range land use and transportation plan for<br />
2040 and other planning initiatives and activities for the region; and<br />
WHEREAS, <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> is a partner agency with CMAP in its implementation of the long range<br />
land use and transportation plan for 2040 and other planning activities and initiatives for the region; and<br />
WHEREAS, <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> recognizes the importance of CMAP in sustaining the long-term vitality<br />
of the region and desires to continue a cooperative and productive relationship with CMAP; and<br />
WHEREAS, CMAP has requested funding from each of the seven counties in the CMAP region in<br />
the amount of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) and Five Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Three<br />
and 37/100 Dollars ($5,853.37) from the <strong>Kane</strong>/Kendall Council of Mayors to support the planning and<br />
programming services provided by CMAP to the region.<br />
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board appropriate the sum of<br />
Thirty Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Three and 37/100 Dollars ($30,853.27) from <strong>County</strong> Highway Fund<br />
#300, Line Item #50330 (Northeast <strong>IL</strong> Plan & Metro Servs) for funding CMAP services for the region.<br />
