SUMMARY: The following proposed speed limit alteration has been determined in accordance with Kane County Resolution No. 01-419
(Policy for the Establishment and Posting of Altered Speed Limits on County and Township Roads) and is being submitted
for approval in accordance with 625 5/11-604 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes.
At the request of the Elgin Township Road District, an engineering investigation was performed for Wildmere Drive, which
has a current posted speed limit of 30 mph. Staff is recommending the speed limit on this road be reduced to 25 mph based
on the following factors:
--The road is a subdivision road used exclusively for residential use
--The winding curvature of the road geometry
--Township Road District support
