SUMMARY: The Office of Emergency Management maintains a supply of 50,000 sandbags to be used in flood fighting efforts during
major flooding events. On April 17-18 of this year Kane County was the recipient of a significant rain event that caused the
Fox River to reach major flood stage. During the response to this flooding event the OEM distributed 30,000 sandbags to the
affected communities.
Attachments: NONE
This resolution is budget adjustment so the sandbag reserves can be replenished in preperation for the next significant
flooding event.
