SUMMARY: On April 30, 2013, construction bids were opened at the Division of Transportation office for the 2013 Batavia Township<br />
Resurfacing Program. The scope of this project involves an 2.25" overlay of the existing HMA surface course for roads within<br />
the Township which will improve the riding surface and longevity of the roads.<br />
The apparent low bidder for this program is Builders Paving, LLC/Hardin Paving Services, Inc. of Hillside, Illinois with a<br />
proposed contract amount of $64,727.00; approximately 22.69% below the engineer's estimate of $83,718.75.<br />
