RESOLUTION NO. 13- 167<br />
APPROVING APPOINTMENTS TO THE<br />
KANE <strong>COUNTY</strong> TASK FORCE ON DRINKING AND DRIVING<br />
WHEREAS, Resolutions 82-122 and 88-123 created a task force on drinking and driving to reduce<br />
deaths and injuries due to drunk drivers; and<br />
WHEREAS, Resolution 11-275 authorized the continuance of the <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Task Force on<br />
Drinking and Driving and approved by laws that govern the operation of the task force; and<br />
WHEREAS, the <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Task Force on Drinking and Driving by laws call for the Chairman of<br />
the <strong>County</strong> Board, with the advice and consent of the <strong>County</strong> Board, to appoint the thirteen (13) voting<br />
members of the DUI Task Force.<br />
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective immediately, the following individuals be<br />
appointed to the <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Task Force on Drinking and Driving to serve through May 1, 2015 as voting<br />
members of the Task Force: Steve Williams, Chief of Police Gilberts Police Department; Carol Lussky, Chief<br />
of Police Pingree Grove Police Department; Chris Merrit, Chief of Police South Elgin Police Department;<br />
Dan Hoffman, Chief of Police Campton Hills Police Department; David Summer, Chief of Police North<br />
Aurora Police Department; Susan McKeigue, MADD; Honorable John Hoscheit, <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board;<br />
Honorable Jesse Vazquez, <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board; Honorable Maggie Auger, <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Board; Dan<br />
Meyers, Chief of Police Montgomery Police Department; Jeff Swoboda, Chief of Police Elgin Police<br />
Department; Joe Groom, Commander at Aurora Police Department; Steve Smith, Chief of Police Elburn<br />
Police Department.<br />
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that effective immediately, the following individuals be appointed to<br />
the <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Task Force on Drinking and Driving to serve through May 1, 2015, as non-voting members<br />
of the Task Force: Honorable Pat Dal Santo, Regional Office of Education; Christopher Starkovich, Court<br />
Services; Honorable Rob Russell, Coroner; Barbara Jeffers, <strong>Kane</strong> <strong>County</strong> Health Department; Rita Kreslin,<br />
AAIM.<br />
