Prints the barcode label for the selected field.
Once you print the barcode labels, you must attach the
applicable label to the applicable block/accessory. When you
treat a field, swipe the block/accessory with a barcode wand
before beam on. This makes sure that you use the correct
block/accessory for the field.
Approving Treatment Fields
When you have set up the treatment fields how you want them, you can approve the
treatment fields before you treat the patient. In fact, your facility can require you to
approve a treatment field before you can treat a patient. When you approve a field,
you cannot remove it, but you can make changes to the field. If you change an
approved field, the status of the field automatically changes to Unapproved. You must
have the correct approval privileges to approve treatment fields. In this exercise, you
will approve the treatment field you manually added in this lesson.
1. In the Diagnoses and Interventions window, double-click the 03 LAO Lung
treatment field.
Opens the Treatment Field Definition dialog box.
2. Right-click in the Treatment Field Definition dialog box or press F4.
Opens the Treatment Field Definition Options menu.
3. Click Approve….
Opens the Approve Treatment Field Definition dialog box, shown in Figure 92.

You can also press CTRL+A to open the Approve Treatment
Field Definition dialog box.
4. Type your Password, then press ENTER.
Adds your user initials and the approval date in the Approved field, shown in
Figure 93.
