Adding Prescriptions When adding prescriptions, you must add the required information for each prescription site. You can add and change information for each site in the same treatment course from the Radiation Prescriptions dialog box. In this exercise, you will add prescription information. The Radiation Oncology Physician Training Guide Module II (LTGRAD0003B) includes instructions on how to approve a radiation prescription. 1. In the Diagnoses and Interventions window, click Radiation Oncology Course: 1, then click in the Add group. Displays diagnosis and course Fraction and dose information Figure 29: Radiation Prescriptions Dialog Box in Edit Mode Use the Radiation Prescriptions dialog box to add or change information about patient prescriptions and to manage a set of prescription sites in the same course of treatment. The top part of the dialog box shows the diagnosis for the selected course. It also has a table that shows a summary of all the prescription sites for this course. The bottom part has three different views to add a prescription for a new site in an existing or new course. You can also change or view the prescription for each site in the course. 3. Type Lung in the Rx Site field, then press TAB. Adds the prescription site, then moves the insertion point to the Technique field. 4. Click AP/PA from the Technique field. Specifies the technique. 5. Click x06 from the Modality field. Specifies the treatment modality. Conventional prescription information Calendar view of prescribed fractions 6. Click Isodose from the Dose Spec field, then press TAB. Summary of existing prescriptions, if any Adds the dose specification, then moves the insertion point to the second box.
